Roger’s Palladio wallcovering was inspired by pilasters in the sixteenth-century architect’s painted villa rotunda near Venice. “Their placement brings cohesion to the magnificent central space,” Thomas says. “Expressed in wood they have the integrity of solid stone, creating a classical rhythm connected to the Greeks, the Romans and the Renaissance.”
